It’s all coming together for us
What up, what up, everybody out there???
We had another really good game against the Knicks last night. We pounded it inside to Dwight Howard early in the game and then when they started double-teaming that’s when we made a bunch of threes. I think we made like eight threes in the third quarter. I had three and MP had three and I even got to the line for three free throws one time when Al Harrington tried to keep me from hitting another three.
That was just one of those zones that shooters get in sometimes. I was hoping the ball would come to me every time down the court because my shot was really feeling good. I had a really good rhythm going and it’s almost like guys were looking to me to shoot the ball because they knew I had my stroke going.
I feel like I’m almost all the way back from missing those games at the start. My conditioning is back where it needs to be, my legs feel good and I feel like I’ve caught back up to the speed of the other guys.
But what I’m the happiest about is that we have the most wins in the league right now. Our coach started talking to us last week about getting on top and staying there. We take a lot of pride in having the most wins in the league.
Coach has been saying let’s get on top and stay on top because building a cushion for ourselves could really help in the long run. We want to get our division and we’re trying to win the Eastern Conference, too.
We got to The Finals last year, but that wasn’t enough. This time when we get back – yep I said it!!! – we want to take that gold ball home. Watching the Lakers get their championship rings on opening night that really motivated all of us to do even better this year.
So we’re not stopping this season until we reach all of our goals. This time next year I want to be typing this with a big gold ring on my finger. That’s our mission as a team and that’s why we’re killing ourselves in the gym every day. Everybody can see us getting better and things are really starting to come together for us.
So we can’t let down now. We’ve got a tough four-game trip to the West Coast coming up. So we gotta keep up this strong play. And keep that championship in our thoughts.
Ya’ll be good. -- SHARD
