Olympic snowboarding champion Chloe Kim and extremely famous actor Angelina Jolie were among the notable figures from politics, business, sports, and entertainment who added glamour to a sophisticated black-tie dinner hosted by President Joe Biden on Wednesday for South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Kim is a first-generation Korean-American. She wore a flowing gray dress with a gathered accent on the side, highlighted by a pop of pink.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist mentioned that this marked her second visit to the White House. President Biden extended invitations to the Olympians and Paralympians who participated in the 2021 and 2022 Games, welcoming them to the White House in May 2022.

She had declined a previous invitation from President Donald Trump to visit the White House following the 2018 Games. That year, at the age of 17, she became the youngest woman to win a gold medal in halfpipe.

Having turned 23 last Sunday, Kim announced last April that she would take a post-Olympic break from snowboarding competition, with plans to return later in this Olympic cycle to pursue an unprecedented third consecutive Olympic halfpipe title in Italy in 2026.
