The Toronto Blue Jays this past week faced the Atlanta Braves, the Pittsburgh Pirates twice,  the Boston Red Sox, the Detroit Tigers, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Philadelphia Phillies. They went 2-5 beating only Pittsburgh once and Boston. They finished Grapefruit League play with a 13-17-2 record.

Toronto Blue Jays Top 10 Prospects Check-In

LHP – Ricky Tiedemann

Tiedemann pitched on Thursday going three innings giving up one run on one hit; he walked two and struck out five. He finished the spring 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA, a 1.35 WHIP, and eight strikeouts in 6.2 innings and will likely start the season at Triple-A Buffalo.

SS – Orelvis Martinez

Martinez this spring he hit .188 with a .566 OPS; he had two RBI and a run scored. He will likely start the season at Triple-A Buffalo.

SS – Arjun Nimmala

Nimmala played in two games last week going 1-1 with a home run and two walks. He finished the spring hitting 1.000 with a 5.000 OPS. Nimmala is expected to start the season at Single-A Dunedin.

3B – Addison Barger

Barger last week in two games went 3-4 with two doubles and two RBI. He finished the spring hitting .444 with a 1.156 OPS; he had three doubles, two RBI, three runs scored, four walks, and a stolen base. He is expected to start the season at Triple-A Buffalo.

SS – Leo Jimenez

Jimenez played in two games last week going 0-2. He finished the spring hitting .133 with a .368 OPS; he had two runs scored and was hit by a pitch twice. He is expected to start the season at Triple-A Buffalo.

OF – Alan Roden

Roden ended the spring hitting .250 with a .875 OPS; he had one double, two home runs, six RBI, five runs scored, and three walks. He is expected to start the season at Double-A New Hampshire.

SS – Josh Kasevich

Kasevich played in two games last week going 0-1 with a walk and a run scored. He finished the spring hitting .200 with a .685 OPS; he had a double, one RBI, five runs scored, two walks, and a hit by pitch. He is expected to start the season at Double-A New Hampshire.

LHP – Adam Macko

Macko did not pitch this spring and will likely start 2024 at Double-A New Hampshire.

2B – Cade Dougherty

Dougherty did not play this spring and will likely be at Double-A New Hampshire for the start of 2024.

RHP – Chad Dallas

Dallas finished this spring making three appearances with two coming as starts posting an 8.31 ERA, a 1.85 WHIP, and seven strikeouts in 4.1 innings. He is slated to start the season at Triple-A Buffalo.

Week Ahead:

This coming week the Toronto Blue Jays will start the season with a four-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Blue Jays Triple-A affiliate the Buffalo Bisons will start a three-game series against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders who are the Triple-A affiliate of the Yankees and they will feature outfielder Everson Pereira who is the Yankees sixth-ranked prospect by ITD, second baseman Jorbit Vivas who is the Yankees seventh-ranked prospect by ITD, and the eighth-ranked Yankees prospect by ITD RHP Will Warren. Saturday – vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre – 1:05 PM EST
