The Miami Dolphins QB situation heading into Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens was about as odd as it gets. Backup Jacoby Brissett started his second consecutive game with starter Tua Tagovailoa suffering through a broken finger on his throwing hand.
Interestingly enough, Tua was still active to serve as Brissett’s backup. It led to questions about what head coach Brian Flores was actually doing.
Things were taken to a whole new level early in the third quarter when Brissett suffered a knee injury. As he made his way to the sideline, Miami called on Tua to take snaps under center.
Once Brissett was cleared to return, Flores was seen holding his “starting quarterback” back on the sideline — only to continue to roll with Tagovailoa.
So, the Dolphins’ injured QB1 was tasked with replacing their injured backup quarterback who was called on to start the game in the first place.
For a Miami team that has lost seven of eight heading into Week 10, this can’t be seen as a good thing. It also doesn’t paint Mr. Flores in the best light. Despite Miami boasting a 6-3 lead at the time of this controversy, those watching the game were equally as baffled.

I like Brian Flores as a coach, but not the way he handles his QBs and that is going back to last year

i enjoy flores taking qbs in and out of the lineup based on vibes, just like vince lombardi used to

Per the FOX broadcast, Jacoby Brissett was cleared to return but Brian Flores stopped him from coming in. He instructed Tua Tagovailoa, who is dealing with a fractured finger, to come in.

Alright…
So, according to FOX sideline report, Jacoby Brissett is good to play but Brian Flores picked Tua instead.

Which leads to the question … Why didn't he simply start the game then?
The only person who might be convinced by this QB plan for the Dolphins is Brian Flores
