Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks are adding a 41-year-old offensive lineman to their roster Tuesday after revealing a disappointing update recently on 2022 first-round pick Charles Cross.

Cross was carted off the field against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1. He’s considered week-to-week with a turf toe injury. With Cross as a question mark, the Seahawks worked out future HOF offensive tackle Jason Peters this week

The Seattle Seahawks sign Jason Peters

According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Seahawks are signing former Peters, a former Philadelphia Eagles legend.

Peters has been in the league since he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Buffalo Bills in 2004. He’s made the Pro Bowl nine times and earned All-Pro honors six times. Peters played with the Dallas Cowboys last season.

He’ll add significant depth to a Seahawks offensive line that needs to give Geno Smith time to be effective in the passing game this season.
