Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

While it may not be the Patriotic stirring that one gets during the Olympics or the World Juniors, it’s still pretty great for fans to see their Blackhawks prospects dazzle. It was Oliver Moore again zipping his way down the ice. Gavin Hayes with a beauty of a give and go and then finishing it off. How about Frank Nazar tying the game after a furious rally?

Take your pick Chicago. But is it going to be something if the Summer Showcase is foreshadowing of what will be in the future.

Hayes continues to dazzle as well, be it smart little passes or the moves to finish off a scoring chance. As written about the other day, the Blackhawks prospect pool continues to overflow with the speed and skill general manager Kyle Davidson and director of amateur scouting Mike Doneghey have prioritized since taking over.

In a town that loves it athletes and shakes the building when the National Anthem is sung before every game, imagine how that same fanbase will feel in its national pride should they continue the momentum from a very impressive showcase.

Results Wrap

The US Blue team would finish the comeback, scoring with 1.8 seconds left in the contest off of a Quentin Musty tally for a 5-4 win. The US White team fell to Finland 4-3.
