Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin win Tag Team titles on WWE NXT

New NXT Tag Team Champions were crowned on Tuesday.

Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin defeated Tony D’Angelo and Stacks in the main event of NXT to win the Tag Team titles for the first time. The finish had Corbin lay out Stacks with the End of Days, only to get taken out of the ring by D’Angleo. This allowed Breakker to hit Stacks with a spear to win the titles, ending D'Angelo & Stacks' reign after 92 days.

Breakker & Corbin agreed to team together just prior to the start of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in January. Though Breakker was reluctant to team with Corbin at first, he eventually agreed. The team went on to win the tournament final at Vengeance Day earlier this month, defeating Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.

The title win comes as Breakker may be heading to either Raw or SmackDown. Following his appearance at the Royal Rumble, an ongoing storyline on the main roster has general managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis looking to sign Breakker to their brand.
